The following is our day to day schedule of events which hopefully ties into the photos since I don't know how to label them.
*Wednesday, October 26 - Thursday, October 27 = Flew from RDU to Dulles Int. Airport then to Narita, Japan.
*Thursday -Friday, October 28 = Toured Narita, Buddhist temple and gardens.
*Late Friday flew to Taipei in Taiwan. Aaron and Su-shien met us at the airport.
*Saturday, October 29 = Lunch with Su-shien's parents and her brother. While everyone else prepared for the wedding, we went with Aaron that afternoon to the hot springs at Wulai.
*Sunday, October 30 = Wedding at the Palais de Chine.
*Monday, October 31 = Flew from Taiwan through Hong Kong to Kunming in Yunnan Province of China. Had dinner with Su-shien's aunt, uncle and cousin. Met driver who drove us in a van that night to Dali. Stayed at the Bird Bar.
*Tuesday, November 1 = Toured Dali, Bai village, 3 Pagodas then drove to Lijiang arriving at night. Stayed at 300 year old house converted to an inn in the historic part of town.
*Wednesday, November 2 = Moved to Grand Hotel Lijiang at the entry to the historic area in the interest of comfort. Toured Lijiang and Naxi village. Dinner in village outside Lijiang.
*Thursday, November 3 = Breakfast at hotel. Depart for Shangri-La by way of Black Dragon Pool, Yangtze River and Tiger Leaping Gorge. Stayed in 5-star hotel from hell.
*Friday, November 4 = Breakfast in old part of town. Found a much better place to stay in a newly remodeled building in the old area. Lots of reconstruction underway. Visited enormous dry lake bed which is covered in water in spring.
*Saturday, November 5 = Toured Shangri-La and Buddhist monastery modeled after Lhasa, Tibet. Flew to Kunming.
*Sunday, November 6 = Lunch with Su-shien's aunt and uncle, her male cousin and his wife and son, and her female cousin and her husband and son. Thereafter, we meandered around town shopping before heading to the airport for an evening flight. Aaron and Su-shien flew back to Taiwan while Peggy and Walter stopped over in Hong Kong for a few days.
*Monday, November 7 = Toured Kowloon including high tea at the Peninsula Hotel, a ferry from Kowloon to Hong Kong, the inclined tram(27 degrees) to the Peak, and a side trip to Matilda Hospital.
*Tuesday, November 8 = Toured Kowloon, then flew to Taipei. Checked into the same hotel as before.
*Wednesday, November 9 - Friday, November 11 = Toured Taipei, Buddhist temple, hot springs, dinner on 86th floor of Taipei 101, Sun Yat Sen memorial, and Imperial Museum among others.
*Saturday, November 12 = Flew to Honolulu via Japan.
*Sunday, November 13 - Tuesday, November 15 = Toured Honolulu and the island of Oahu including Pearl Harbor and the north shore.
Wednesday, November 16 - Thursday, November 17 = Flew to RDU via Seattle and Washington, D.C. Thomas picked us up at the airport.
